Our Housing and Outreach Program acts as the most pivotal step in youth attaining and maintaining housing. This duo of care assists youth in identifying the housing option that best suits their goals. Youth meet with the on-site housing worker in a one-to-one housing counselling session that highlights the housing goal of each youth, the income options needed to support the identified housing goal and the knowledge needed to maintain housing. With the support of our housing program, youth receive peace of mind knowing that the journey towards independence is not only doable but sustainable.
We believe sustainability of housing is a key factor in a young person’s ability to maintain independence. With this in mind, we provide ongoing support for recently housed youth through our outreach program. Transportation support, access to local community services and an ear to listen when things are rough are just a few of the services provided by our outreach program.
The Housing and Outreach Program takes pride in each youth’s effort in making a difference in their own lives… it is what drives us to make a difference in theirs.
